| This old jade seismograph is a duplicate of an original design in 132 AD by Heng Zhang, a Chinese scientist. The working principle is: when the seismic wave is picked up by a bar in the center of the seismograph, it triggers a bronze sphere to drop from the dragon's mouth to the frog's mouth underneath. Which ball drops indicates the direction of the seismic wave. | |
