In Chinese feudal society imperial edicts refer to documents carrying orders directly issued by the emperor.  These two golden silk imperial edicts are 140 cm (55") long, issued in Ching Dynasty during Jiaching and Taokuang reigns.
The orders were drafted and recorded by the scholars in both Han and Manchuria characters. The emperors' signets are in the center.
These authentic documents are high-valued documents in the study of Ching Dynasty history.
