This is a rare piece of art. The stone
itself has a rich combination of well distributed natural colors. The sculptor,
Jianping Lin, took full advantage of these features. He created pumpkins (more than
a dozen of them), flowers, leaves, peas, nuts as well as many fruits; all in great details
as shown in the photos above. It doesn't take long for you to spot a grey cicada in
the middle of his palace. It is an enjoyment to examine this artwork from all angles as well as to its depth. The more you look at this masterpiece, the more you admire the artist's imagination and skill. |
