Front View

The sculptor took advantage of this particular piece's highly contrasting color zones to depict the most significant event in human society, the autumn harvest.  The deep warm colors were turned into ripe fruits, grains, and flowers, whereas the pale, light zones turned into leaves, stems, unripe fruits and even rocks and soil.
