This big lion signet (stamp), 1.2" x 1.2" x 5" in size, is very rich in color and texture. From the body up, the color changes dramatically from a rich tan swirled with gray to a tan zone and then a dark gray zone. The sculptor took advantage of this zone to create a detailed Beijing-style gate lion with its ferocious jaws. It is an ideal collector's item. |
